Schilthelm Builders LLC. was formed in 1999 and currently serves the Lake Geneva Wisconsin area. After 12 years of employment with a quality minded large custom home builder in the Chicago suburbs, owner Scott Schilthelm was ready to build his own company. Prompting him to do this was a desire to dispel the stereotype that all contractors are irresponsible  fly-by-nights that can't be trusted. Schilthelm Builders operates under a few basic rules- Return all calls by 9 am the next day. Be on time. Treat customers and their homes with respect. Don't do anything that you would be embarrassed to tell your kids about.           
         Learning early on that he actually enjoyed dealing with his customers on a daily basis, the focus of the company shifted from new construction to a remodel, repair, and maintenance company. This is not to say he would not welcome the opportunity to build the home of your dreams. 
         The other half of Schilthelm Builders is Scott's wife of 28 years, Glenna, who offers a complete interior design service to ease the selection process and add those finishing touches that will make your home look like  pages from a magazine. Glenna is also a custom mural artist who will give your home a personalized and truly one of a kind appearance.
         No contracting company is complete without it's valued sub contractors, all of whom are local  owner-operator shops that can be readily at your service. The use of  these specialty contractors insures that a high degree of skill is on the job at all times.
